I, too, mourn the lack of adoption for the Segway.
(TL;DW: it’s bicycles)
I thought it was talking about streetcars at first, and AFAIK most people know the story behind that by now; but if they don’t, Big Autos, GM specifically, basically killed the streetcar by straight-up taking it over via buyout.
