According to The Times, France’s economy is tanking with no recovery in sight. Meanwhile, several of France’s former colonies in Africa are taking control of their mineral resources, nationalising industries, and charting new pathway forwards towards sovereignty and self-determination.
Such is the case of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, members of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), which all ended the French military occupation of their territory before making moves to take back economic control from France and other western powers. Could this have an impact on France’s rapid economic decline?
