I haven’t seen any models that seem to work well that don’t have some sort of capitalism as the foundation. I’d love to live in the Star Trek universe where money doesn’t even exist, but I don’t think it would work well in practice.
If it didn’t seem to work, the US wouldn’t be expending billions of dollars every year to ensure that it didn’t work. If it was a failure, the US would have to do nothing and it would have collapsed in on itself decades ago.
Might have to do with the US Government, Military and CIA working to make them fail (Venezuela and Cuba are 2 examples that come to mind from this year only)

Market economy ≠ capitalism. Once you understand the difference, the solution becomes obvious.

Letting supply and demand set prices does not mean you have to then use profits to concentrate capital, right?
