When did that become a discussion about the (in comparison really minor) issue of carrying nuclear weapons instead?

This doesn’t make any sense… unless we are aiming for yet another senseless narrative about France as the only ones with sane ideas about nuclear. And even that angle seems totally weird when it’s about weapons.
