Apparently the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines only give you immunity for about 6 months. I’ve gone over a year before without a new shot.
Lol reminds me of a podcaster who went to like 5 different pharmacies in a row and got a mix of all the vaccines, because apparently they dont really track that stuff and didnt know he was getting them elsewhere. Not sure if that’s more effective but it’s certainly an idea
There was a guy who got 217 doses of the vaccine:
IIRC he was getting a new dose every 3 days for some period of time.
Haha that’s WILD. It’s cool that together, they all gave him zero side effects, and that his immune system is functioning perfectly. In comparison to what I want, his number of vaccines are as high as outer space. So I feel like I’ll be in the clear.
Was this done in the US? Also, did he say how much they costed? My insurance only covers it once.
During the pandemic it was at no cost from the gov
I just checked. It’s $200 or higher for an uninsured Pfizer shot at the drugstores CVS and Walgreens.
No Moderna shots are available.
Jesus christ
He lives in chicago. No idea about the cost tho
Didn’t the FDA just ban them? Assuming you’re in
, no idea what the deal is anywhere else
Ban what exactly? Extra vaccine doses?
Novavax if you can still get it allegedly offers longer protection.
Novavax’s COVID-19 Vaccine: Your Questions Answered
The Novavax vaccine is one of three vaccines available in the U.S. for the prevention of COVID-19 and the only one that does not use the relatively new mRNA vaccine technology.
The FDA is now approving the vaccine for people 65 years and older, and those ages 12 through 64 who have at least one health condition that puts them at increased risk for a severe outcome from COVID.
Good. I have long covid. I should be able to get it.
FYI I just got a booster recently since it was about 6 months from the last one and as far as I can tell all of the 2024-25 Novavax Covid shots expired recently. Here’s a Reuters article claiming the last batch expired on April 30th, but it’s unsourced. I know I wasn’t able to find one at least.
I received the SinoVac vaccine where I reside. The government says a booster is not required at this time, if you received the recommended three doses previously. Live-attenuated versus mRNA?
Idk if I can get that since I’m in the US and am not traveling. Sounds like good shit though.
