They are transactional narcissists who think the rest of the population is full of marks. Even if it’s not an act, it will act as a loyalty test, a distraction, and an attempt for Musk to whitewash, and the clash will likely not last long. Both Trump and Musk are in full alignment about what DOGE is doing, and DOGE’s people are basically Musk appointees. Whether the feud is real doesn’t even matter.
