Have you maybe tried to open the website on a desktop pc? Maybe it will give you other options e.g. Apple wallet, which would result in a PKpass file? There has to be some way for apple users. Or maybe ask a friend with an Iphone to open it, try to download it and if it is a pkpass send it to you?

And yet another question, if I send an email asking the transportation authority what kind of technology they use for travel documents, if they provide any alternative to google or any way to download the ticket in either pkpass format or any other format that doesn’t require me to give my personal data to a data grabber, if they provide plastic travel cards to people that won’t allow their data to be used by google, what are the chances they won’t ignore me or outright laugh at me?

50:50 tbh, either you get someone who had bad experience with privacy laws (or something where privacy laws were severely misunderstood and resulted in a worse product because people didn’t check things properly. That is how it often goes in my experience.). Or you get someone who understands your problem and can help you.

while pkpass files are developed by Apple they can be used on Android with several Apps (i think they might be even usable with Google Wallet but i am not sure.). So often times when something can be added to the wallet i just click the Apple button, get the file and add it to my app. (In Germany, usage spread depends heavily on the region. Big city events often have wallet links for tickets etc.)

The use of screenshots or PDFs is not secure. Fraud would be way too easy if they allowed it.

I am legitimately curious how that would result in fraud? The ticket still has to be scanned which can not be forged (i hope at least?)

Sometimes local providers claim that screenshots are not allowed. It is really annoying and you have to show your id all the time.

Sorry i dont follow? Google Wallet also supports pkpass files and i doubt that they use anything else. That would be so much harder for no gain.

They are usually just .pkpass files, so any app that can show them should work. Most likely the “Hinzufügen zu Google Wallet” link will also work since it just links to the pkpass file. But be prepared to get asked if it is a screenshot a lot. I am using passandroid (further down this thread) and it works.

In Germany you essentialy have the choice between a debit card or a Girocard, why anyone would choose a Girocard instead of a debit card is a real headscratcher for me. So many disadvantages for only a few advantages. Especially if you consider that many banks without a debit card also have fees just for having an existing account and often times you can‘t even get money from every atm without fees. So while i underdzanf your points i don‘t think taking a credit card is US centric at all, it is just the superior card.

Das stimmt zwar, aber das Ehegattensplitting mit gemeinsamer Veranlagung sorgt schon dafür, dass Ehen in denen beide unterschiedlich viel verdienen mehr davon profitieren als wenn beide gleich verdienen. Ein Ehepaar was 2x40000 verdient zahlt den gleichen Steuersatz wie eins wo 1x10000 und 1x70000. Das fördert ja Modelle mit stark unterschiedlichen Einkommen, da es ja mehr Sinn macht wenn eine:r zurücksteckt damit dey andere die Karriereleiter aufsteigen kann

Warum wolltest du es denn machen lassen? Wurde es einfach innerhalb des dreijährigen erlaubten Checkups abgerechnet? Was meinst du mit großes Blutbild? Wenn da so standard Sachen dabei sind, ist es völlig legitim das es nichts kostet. Dafür ist der Checkup da, ist halt ne Vorsorgeleistung die langfristig Gesundheitskosten reduzieren sollen.

Außerdem würde der 10Euro Betrag pro Tag Krankenhauskosten bei den Arbeitslosen auch von der GKV übernommen aber bei der arbeitenden Bevölkerung eher nicht.) Also so um die 5%, das ist natürlich ein nicht zu vernachlässigender Kostenpunkt, aber irgendwie jetzt auch weit weniger dramatisch als du es darstellst. Vor allem da deine vorgeschlagene Alternative ist, den Leuten Gesundheitsleistungen zu kürzen? Also Menschen die ehh schon am Existenzminimum leben auch noch die körperliche Gesundheit streitig machen finde ich wirklich menschenverachtend.

Desweiteren zeigen doch verschiedene Statistiken, dass die meisten Bürgergeldempfänger keine Verweigerer sind, sondern diverse Gründe mit reinspielen. I read some more about it and yeah ZFS seems like a great solution. Do you happen to know how easy it is to upgrade storage with ZFS? E.g. i start with just 2x4TB but later I add another 2x4TB, would that be easy or would this result in a total rebuild?

Is that viable? I read that doing it with proxmox can be problematic because it doesn’t offer such great NAS and Raid options out of the box, making it harder to maintain.

I was also thinking about getting a DAS but found several opinions that recommended against it because the hardware RAID is more expensive and software raid with DAS is supposed to be a PITA.

Did you connect the expansion drive via USB or how are you doing that? AFAIK the G3 only supports 2.5 HDDs which are not available with 10Tb, are they?

I will use the server for photos, videos, backups from my PC via borg and as a media server so i wanted to start with approximately 6TB. Budget without the harddrives is under 500€, currently looking at a refurbished optiplex 3060 with an Intel I3-8100T as a miniPC for server usage and then some used NAS system from Terramaster. Do you mean building a multibay NAS myself? I looked into it and it didn’t seem really cheaper compared to buying used/refurbished.
