  • they’re mostly known for being all about theory and not doing any praxis at all

What exactly is the issue when a person writes analysis while not doing any praxis? (We already assume for the sake of this argument that writing essays, holding lectures and impacting the “discourse” among the left are not praxis.)

What exactly do you mean by “members”? Are you talking about the people who write texts for the GSP or are you talking about people who buy their material and then read it? I fail to see any form of “membership” in the latter case, and I fail to see the problem with those same people not also doing praxis in the former. Can you elaborate a little bit?

  • I legit don’t get the GSP hate. Yes they mostly critique the existing order and they are not a political party offering direct solutions to everything. What does shine through is the desire for a world order that prioritizes the needs of humanity instead of profit. I have yet to read or hear a criticism directed at them that actually concerns itself with their arguments about the state and liberal democracy instead of simply railing against their way of speaking or the alleged arrogance of their readership and/or members. Of course Karl Held often behaved arrogant and overly aggressive when faced with criticism but he was also right a lot of the time.

Pushing all their work aside and labelling it as pseudo intellectual garbage is a take that I can not understand. They are not a cult, they write texts and hold lectures. Yes there are no protests with GSP flags and Peter Decker doesn’t squat a house or whatever you want them to do. But I fail to understand why that is a bad thing and what the problem is with people simply putting out good quality analysis for others to read and inform their own praxis. You don’t need a “better alternative idea” to articulate a critique of what exists right now. And just because you only criticize the existing order doesn’t really mean that you have no interest in it being changed. That is an inference step that I have issues following

Please enlighten me if you know more than I do since I also only recently started paying attention to them. Because so many leftists told me for years that they are not worth my time. I was proven very wrong when I listened to some of their arguments and conversations from the last 34 years and read some of their newer analysis on current events. It’s very good theory, nothing more and nothing less in my opinion.

  • I don’t think a guy like Friedrich Merz or someone like Angela Merkel or Jaques Chirac or even Barrack Obama or whatever did politics in favor of capital because they were blackmailed by a shadowy cabal of global elites with proof of their heinous sex crimes. Doing politics in favor of capital simply comes with the territory of being the leader of a capitalist state. Many of these politicians also either are part of or grew up within the capitalist class and are simply serving their own material and ideological interests.

I’m really not sure what you’re trying to say about Bernie Sanders and Zohran Mamdani either, as if the people on the Epstein list were all socialist politicians that got a little too powerful and would have paved the way for workers rights and equality were it not for the evil global cabal that enticed them to diddle kids and then blackmailed them to do a 180 on their otherwise honest and humanitarian views.

I don’t think it really matters much for the existence of capitalism that some rich people like to spend their time raping people. If so and since you’re saying this has been happening since around the 60s, how do you explain the existence of capitalism before 1939? Before 1914? And even before that? Is it all built on mfers getting blackmailed for diddling kids or are there maybe other incentives for people in power to enable the unfethered accumulation of capital?

  • So Jeffrey Epstein blackmailed politicians to ensure their absolute loyalty to the “capitalist class” which is also in charge of mossad and the cia? How do you explain the existence of other capitalist states whose politicians don’t diddle kids? Or do you think they all do it secretly?

Don’t you think that a salary upwards of $10000/mo plus various lucrative side-hustles and job opportunities from lobbyism and political favors, paired with the never ending nationalist propaganda about how capitalism and liberal democracy are the ideal and most fair way to organize humanity, is enough to ensure these people’s loyalty?

The vagueness of your “critique” of capitalism and your talk about a coordinated group of people pulling the strings of the rulers of society and secret services, intentionally or not, comes off kind of antisemitic and incoherent in my opinion. (And no, I am not a Zionist or in any way foster a single positive opinion about the existence of the state of israel.)

Edit: I don’t disagree with anything that “Albbi”, the person you responded to, said in their comment though.

Can you give me good and reliable sources on this genocide that china has been said to commit for years? Or simply explain what you believe is happening there so I can look it up further myself? I’m not baiting you I’m genuinely interested

  • I live in central europe but still would never think twice about leaving the house or entering a tram with a knife in my backpack. I think I actually do still have a swiss army knife in there somewhere that I’ve been carrying literally anywhere I go for the last couple years.

To me it’s a little strange to compare knives, which are primarily tools, to firearms that are from start to finish designed for the sole purpose of killing and injuring living things. My life would be worse without knives, I use them every single day. But I’ve never required a gun for anything
