2·13 hours agoMy 16 year old is fiending for food and making an enormous mess everywhere in her search for food. She’s healthy, just seems to be doing the opposite of what old cats do.
My dog is very upset that she can’t keep the cat calm.
I’ve just put lick mats out for both of them, hopefully they’ll settle in for afternoon naps afterwards lol

My favorite part of this is clay envelopes were also made for documents, and they sometimes contained similar information that we place on envelopes now. Other times they had a condensed version of the document instead
2·20 hours agoI agree with the others to have a bunch of hobbies to pick from. For the record I have been on stims daily, but now I use a non-stim with an occasional boost from a mild stim.
- I like gaming because there is always a new game to try.
- I like sewing because I often need to repair something and occasionally I think of something that I can’t buy in a store.
- I like gardening because I like cooking, and it’s fun to have fresh ingredients that I grew myself.
- Some people like learning an instrument because there are always new songs and styles to try
Ultimately, what my ADHD brain craves is novelty, and I can only really get that from a variety in my activities.

I have extremely sensitive skin, but aluminum antiperspirant has been fine on it. I really get into trouble with aluminum-free brands, especially if they have baking soda in them. I have to say contact dermatitis in the armpit is a unique method of accidental self-torture.

They also have a very strict vegetarian diet, they won’t even eat root vegetables so burrowing insects aren’t disturbed
1·5 days agoI think he doesn’t need math tutoring. He needs someone to sit with him while he does his homework, and he needs encouragement. Our education system just marches people through to graduation without giving them the chance to breathe.
But, I agree, our teachers have been struggling for decades.
9·6 days agoReagan was an asshole. Tldr: the first one happened because he vetoed the spending bill, the second and third happened because he was trying to pressure congress over progressive policies he didn’t agree with and relented on the days that the shutdowns happened
