This is my struggle right now. Thankfully, I actually did develop my learning skills a handful of times but for the vast majority of my life I’ve just used pattern recognition to get through school. I managed to get about halfway through my degree before I started having to actually learn, but who knows if even properly learning anything will land me a job lol

3·6 days agoI believe the meme I’m referencing is an evolution of that one. I choose to take this as proof that I’m right

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Well, it’s funny if you can read Egyptian signs!
2·6 days agoGood point. Now I’m more sure, it’s the meme template of two dudes walking up to each other and dramatically shaking hands. Not sure what to call it, I’ve seen anime characters and giga-chads and all kinds of stuff in it. Similar to the solidarity meme, but usually in video form. I think it originated on vine?
Edit: I have seen it in picture form, usually a black background with two gigachads or a gigachad and a wojak or wojak-adjacent other guy

Oh my god I feel so stupid. I’ve been arguing back and forth whether it was worth de-atomizing my steam deck to spin up alpaca in docker. I forgot they have a flatpak
I’ve heard a slightly altered version, “a hoe I’d NEVER cold” and you specifically have to do the sassy emphasis on never. Say it enough and you’ll sweat in the snow

21·10 days agoRight. But cleaning up the old files left over from swapping your DE is much easier if you actually have read and write access to those files. When you swap DEs, it’s gonna leave shit behind whether you’re atomic or not. But atomic systems have more barriers to cleaning them up, to prevent the user from accidentally cleaning the wrong things.

31·10 days agoOn atomic systems like Bazzite and the universal blues, getting rid of the old files from the previous DE can be a huge hassle. On normal systems it’s a lot easier

But here in Belgium…
Forgive my ignorance, isn’t there a large portion of your countrymen that speak German as one of their primary languages?
I’m very interested to hear your thoughts on how it is possible to have a dictatorship of the proletariat, while simultaneously having an actual dictator.
I’m actually not disagreeing that the USSR was socialist, by the way. For most intents and purposes, they were. But “dictatorship of the proletariat” at least to me, sounds like a democracy which is antithetical to authoritarianism
“Dictator of the proletariat” didn’t mean the proletariats needed a dictator. It meant they needed to be the dictators. The common people must decide what the common people need, is what that sentence means.
Holy shit this is me to a T.

7·16 days agoNnnoo… freyja is a perfectly fine deity to pick for this sentiment, in fact a better pick than Odin. As she presides over love and war, whereas Odin is just their allfather

This is hilarious, but isn’t it a regular meme?
