  • One of the important things about working out is knowing which muscles you’re actually working out so that you can consciously focus on firing them off with force.

Pushups aren’t for your arms, at least not normal pushups. They work your triceps a bit, and a few of the stabilizer muscles in the forearms and shoulders. But, for the most part, push ups are about your chest. Squeezing your chest inwards should give you your upward momentum, not pushing away from the ground.

It’s also not quite enough to just have a straight back. You ever flex your stomach while looking at a mirror and it kind of auto-straightens your back? That’s the move you’re lookin for, tighten your abdominal muscles as best you can to make it so those are the muscles supporting your lower half, instead of pushing that weight onto your lower spinal column and shoulders

I believe in America the corporation is given the edge. “We didn’t say you’d get 400ml of coke, we said a medium was 400ml.” Is a legally viable argument. Its only false advertising if taking the statement at face value is provably false, a la “Red Bull gives you wings” was changed to “Red bull gives you wiiiings” because the original was provably false, and the second one can be defended as “wiiiings isn’t a real word so it doesn’t mean anything”

I’m more confident than ever that bi/pan is secretly the most common sexuality.

In many ancient societies, being bi was the norm. Like it was actually considered close minded to be straight or gay.

Obviously this isn’t proof but I have it memorized so I’m gonna spout it off anyway, there’s a scene in doctor who where a lesbian companion gets hit on by a Roman centurion, he tells her “oh. Well I’m just normal. You know, guys and girls. But that’s okay [other centurion] is like that too.”

  • This is my struggle right now. Thankfully, I actually did develop my learning skills a handful of times but for the vast majority of my life I’ve just used pattern recognition to get through school. I managed to get about halfway through my degree before I started having to actually learn, but who knows if even properly learning anything will land me a job lol
