It’s good, but the original books (The Short-timers and The Phantom Blooper) are A LOT better. They are also way more radical than the movie was allowed to be, especially the second book, about a third of which centers on acutal Vietnamese people and their struggle for freedom.

I just really hope that it’s a signifier of an end. This war is exhausting. The longer it goes on, the more I feel like I’ll die here.
