Both sorta. I created my Lemmy account around the time Reddit started fucking with the API calls which affected Apollo, which was one of the best apps I’ve ever used. And I sort of split my time between Lemmy and Reddit, mainly for for the SBC gaming subreddit, but some politics and such too. And then within the last month I started getting pinged left and right for up voting stuff of all things, and then being warned about threatening violence (for saying Republicans should get their toes stepped on by the justice department).

But now I’m over here full time.

I mearly suggested that there should be more stepping on toes, on a post about a news article about Republican toes being stepped on by judges, and they sent me a warning that “I was advocating for violence”. Like, no, my sweet summer child, if I was advocating for violence, my rhetoric would be more… violent.

Edit: Decided right then and there I was done splitting my time between reddit and the fediverse.

I am having such a hard time squaring that with how he talks and acts; unless he is bideing(bidding?) his time till the orange idiot is gone and is planning on an uno reverso, but it sure doesn’t seem that way.

I mean I could, I’d have to disable noscript for that site, which isn’t hard to do, but since URLcheck just lets me pick which browser I want to use, I’m just being lazy about disabling my Firefox extensions lol

I got two warnings, one in regards to up voting things that MAGAts wouldn’t like (I forget the specifics), and one for saying that if Republicans didn’t like getting their toes stepped on by the judiciary, maybe we needed to step on more of their toes, or their whole foot, or maybe even push them over while doing it. Depends on what I’m doing, most of the time it’s Firefox with noscript running, ad block, privacy badger, decentraleyes, etc. but if I need to log into, say like a bank website, I’ll use Samsung Internet. I know it’s underpinnings are chromium, but I dunno, feels better than using straight up chrome I guess.

Ah okay thanks. I’ll have to play around with the apps I am trying out then. I switched over to Voyager to reply to this comment, and looking back through the original post, comments and such seems to be rendered better in voyager than sync, and I know it’s been a while since sync has been updated, so it may just be a case of that app getting more and more out of date.

Ah okay thanks. Is that true, independent of the app I am using? Reason I ask is that I am currently using Sync, but I’m looking into other apps (Voyager specifically)

Right? I didn’t even know all of the times I’ve clicked links that had trackers on it before using this app, or to remove amp links and such too. I’m not 100% sure what the “scan” function does however.

I use an app called URLcheck that I’ve installed via F-Droid. Although it doesn’t appear to give me the ability to skip the bluesky redirect action but at least I know it’s there I guess.
