Personally I’m far more concerned with the amount of sauce I’ve been seeing on pizza than people’s choice of toppings, but i honestly don’t mind pineapple. The right amount and I find it a nice sweet flavor that goes nice with spicy toppings like jalapeno.
On the sauce thing, It’s getting to the point where it’s easier to list places that don’t just give you cheesy bread with a microscopic level of sauce because apparently that’s the norm around here.

Yes I’m sure you’ve never heard of the American national anthem that still calls the US the land of the free during all of this. I brought up hazardous heat conditions and tied that into this new policy to point out a criticism of America. I brought up the fact that the national anthem calls it the land of the free to point out hypocrisy.
So far you haven’t done anything other than try and tell me that 11pm isn’t night for some reason and to criticize me for pointing out the words of the national anthem.

Yes I’ve heard of night just like I said in the quoted text people were getting severe burns and needing to be hospitalized because they were not expecting the gate to their house to be that hot at nearly midnight.
As someone who lives somewhere that just got up to 120° f hot metal is no joke. We had a ton of people hospitalized a few years back because they went to open gates to their homes and weren’t expecting scolding hot metal when it was already like 11pm.
I’m not going to hate this because it’s a idea that doesn’t work, I’m going to hate it because it’s just another method to harm people who want to come to the land of the free. On top of it border states like to charge people for leaving out water so just anything they can possibly do to be vindictive and hateful I guess.

I’m no historical expert and I am just kind of spitballing here but I could see a few situations where that would make sense. Like you have something that is too hot to handle for the time being, maybe you just stole from Spain and now you have to pass through a Spanish blockade? Or maybe people can easily show up to a port with a normal amount of gold/currency but then over a certain amount it either risks being confiscated or drawing attention.
Someone else I know got a printer and got bored printing with it after a bit and said I can print on it whenever if I toss them a roll of material every now and then.
I ended up finding all kinds of useful things to print. I made a connection piece for a sink that had a garbage disposal removed when I couldn’t find the fitting anywhere and after 3 years it’s holding up fine. I made a set of cams for a washer that randomly stopped spinning one day and those have been working nicely. Just a bunch of times it ended up coming in handy.
When confronted with any questions that make people evaluate their dissonance people will often fall back on “I don’t know” and refuse to engage information that contradicts their beliefs. If they do engage at all it may come in the form of circular logic, “Things are this way because they just are”.
It can basically become a parent getting exasperated trying to explain why the sky is blue to a kid when they don’t really know themselves.
The disconnect is often that their worldview is they are “right” and they just know that they are, and trying to prove otherwise kinda circles back on the sky argument. Saying that they are wrong is like telling them the sky is neon yellow, they know you’re wrong in their mind.
So yeah I’m not sure how to get through to that other than people being social and usually abandoning ideas if they conflict with everyone around them and offer no options for people to engage with them, but that can be undone fast with an echo chamber of false information or really anything that reinforces their beliefs.

The one in Panama actually makes sense because it is near the rainforest and acting as a buffer against them. These facilities only work if they are near the flies, you can’t use sterilized flies unless there is a population of flies to use them on.
When you put that together this almost looks like they are signaling plans to abandon support for the Panama facility and allow them to spread through all of South America up into Mexico.
Public transportation is non existent in a lot of the US and the cost of taking a cab is higher than a car payment. We have sprawling cities where if you don’t want to work a commute that would be 3+ hours each way you are precluded from most jobs and you better have 3-6 months of money saved to job search in your area at that point.
Millions of people are stuck in places where if you don’t have a car you’re going not going to finding much work or working a living wage.
So when they turn to the camera guy at the end they repeatedly keep saying you’re not allowed to record due to FBI rights. That is something I’ve never heard before.
Unless they are trying to refer to something from the Patriot act the FBI has the same rights as everyone else.
Most yeah, but ICE seems leaning into having militarized gear and I wouldn’t put it past them expensing out level 4 armor or at least some plates to go in back.
Definitely look into friends, target practice, army training manuals. None of that is going to hurt if things go south.
Anybody giving you that advice did not follow it themselves and probably works at somewhere that their friends or family set them up with.
My advice to anybody job seeking who is dejected is just watch the monologue from the Far Cry 3 guy who quotes Einstein about how doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is insanity, and feel better than listening to some corporate shill who’s being disingenuous.
