Asking what the Spanish word for tortilla is a valid question.
If you ordered a ‘tortilla’ in Spain, you would get an omelette, not a flatbread.
This comment section is like the bellcurve meme.

Stupid is a choice is as much as access to good education is a choice.

Not advocating for AI medical care, but just to shed light on why so many people use it.
Medical gaslighting is a serious issue especially if you’re either young, female, a PoC, have chronic illness, LGBTQ, struggling with addiction, a non-native speaker, etc.
I’m speaking as someone who has been denied care by doctors for an issue that would have killed me if I had not insisted on it and looked up the symptoms myself. Doctors are human, and humans have all sorts of implicit biases even if they’re not straight up racist or sexist. I’ve had a nurse get upset at me and ‘accidentally’ jab me really hard after asking for accomodations for an injection due to chronic pain.
There is a massive gap in healthcare that millions of people are slipping through. Googling symptoms is not easy when you have a dozen things going on, and for diseased with a wide range of presentations. The reason why people are using AI in the place of medical care, is in large due to the lack of universal healthcare in the US, the prevalence of medical gaslighting, the global rise of chronic illness and types of cancer in progressively younger people, the rise in awareness of mental health issues, etc.
If you’re wondering why older people are even more susceptible to this, it’s in part because doctors used to be even more prejudiced, even more illnesses went undiagnosed, old people simply accumulate more health issues over time, and many are finding solace in a tool that was able to diagnose them in 30 seconds when it may have taken them decades of suffering before a doctor even gave a shit.
I’m not saying that AI in medicine is a suitable replacement for a real doctor. But it gives patients more agency that is frequently taken away by doctors who do not treat them as a reliable witness to their own body and denies that their symptoms are real. If you have not had this happen to you yet, good for you. Once you do, you can never go back to looking at doctors the same way again and take their word at face value.

Laughs in chronic fatigue

It’s never been an issue with medical skill. Drug manufacturers refuse to sell drugs for the purposes of killing someone because it bad PR, so instead they support torturous barely-lethal injections to make sure people suffer as much as possible before maybe dying.
Our legal system also enjoys torturing people, so nothing is being done to fix the torture injections. We also don’t have a single payer healthcare system, so drug manufacturers can do whatever the fuck they want to maximize profits and minimize healthcare.
This kind of comment is why people turn away from veganism.
If you expect nothing but perfection from the people who try, they won’t bother.
Ask yourself if you actually want people to use fewer animal products, or if you just want to feel morally superior.

Stupid person here, sometimes us handicapped folks just forget to hang the tag or it falls off the dashboard.
Not all of us are in wheelchairs or are even visibly disabled, so I get the frustration when you see someone who looks ‘normal’ walking up to their car in handicap spots.
Please don’t yell at us or give us the stare. I’ve had people yell at me for using it, even with a valid tag. I have chronic pain, and just want to make doing groceries a little easier.

Every person eventually becomes disabled or dead. You are no exception no matter how good your health is right now.

What about people who can’t donate blood, or can’t do so without great inconvenience? Where do you draw the line for moral responsibility?
What about people who have a phobia of needles, suffered from medical abuse, or have adverse reactions to donating blood that makes them sick for a few days or weeks?
If we are talking about people who contribute to other’s health through their own bodies, does that mean every mother is at the top of the list because birthing a baby is a contribution to another’s health?
What about medical workers working 12hr shifts and completely wrecking their own bodies in the process? Is that a lesser contribution than someone who donates blood once a month? To go further, where would you put a factory worker with repetitive strain injury who makes the medical equipment that is essential to treating others?
If we want to allot the use of blood based on one’s contribution of their bodies, we have to first ask what it means to contribute. No donor lives in a vacuum. If you can donate blood, it means you are supported by circumstances that leave you in good enough health to donate blood.

PSA: If you see a cat or dog being fed plant based food and you want to feed them meat, DO NOT do so without the consent of the owner because you can kill them.
Hypoallergenic elimination diets are a real thing for pets that have severe reactions to meat or unknown allergens in pet food. This is usually a temporary diet, but there are rare instances of pets on a long term diet due to the lack of non-triggering meat based foods that work.
Yes, malnutrition can be an issue, but this is lesser of two evils when the other evil is seizures, non stop vomiting, or bloody stools.

This is as meaningless as asking why you think more men die of suicide than women. More women attempt suicide, but men on average use more lethal methods. Think downing a bottle of pills vs a shot to the head.
Statistics in the hands of the uninformed is just noise.

Can you kill the crickets quickly before giving it to the spiders? Or will they refuse to eat them unless they’re alive?

This is a study on glycemic control on fiber. In no way does it claim that fiber supplements are useless because that is not glycemic control is not its only intended use.
I have IBS, and psyllium husk has helped relieve many of my symptoms that many high-FODMAP fruits and vegetables cannot.
Please don’t point to a misunderstood study and use it to invalidate other people’s symptoms and effective treatments.
It’s funny how many people here are discovering the basis of modern feng shui but vehemently deny it if you called it that.

Sympathy at the right time and place is how a lot of MAGAs get deconverted.
The key here is the right time and place. Wait for reality to hit them and break them down. They won’t learn until they experience the consequences of their own beliefs. Let them stew in it, and then offer sympathy.
Yes, it’s fun to dogpile on those morons, but if you want to institute real change, offering no sympathy at all does less than nothing.
Boys can like barbies too. We can acknowledge that gender stereotyping kid’s interests was wrong, while acknowledging that their interests don’t always define their gender.
For the same price, men’s clothing are often far thicker with better quality fabric.
Next time you see a simple men’s t-shirt, look at the equivalent for women. It’s more expensive and thinner.
People always say ‘vote with your wallet’ as if women didn’t already have to deal with the ridiculousness of non-standard sizes, bloating, bra compatibility, and constantly being heavily judged for appearances. Taking all of this into account, better fabric and pockets are a premium that can’t always be afforded or not even offered.

Wish you a speedy post-drome. I had migraines for a year in the past, and the thought of going through that again fills me with dread.

Slogans in foreign languages are sometimes considered prestigious or exotic. They’re saying it for the vibes, not for the literal meaning of the words.
Can anyone explain why women don’t care about RAM prices? I don’t get the joke.
