  • Thanks for the info. As an American, even using open source software, I just assume my whole shit is compromised. I have stopped hiding my tracks and recently begun being very vocal about my positions both at home and abroad. I have turned off VPNs and I have welcomed them to my home with the caveat that I will make Ruby Ridge look like a trust worth day care center.

I respect the need for privacy. I demand it for myself and my children. But I know that I don’t have it and that the only way I will ever get it again is talked about in this video. I speak in ‘code’ kind of. Not because i want to be alluring. But, because I have learned to when facing the algorithms on the front I am used to.

Something that always fucks with me about this is that even by Russia’s own admission something like 1 million Russian soldiers have died in the war. Those are WW2 numbers! A million casualties in a modern fight is absolutely insane. And the only reason we don’t call it a genocide is that they are armed and share cultural and blood ties to the people they are fighting. I say that Hamas was fighting for freedom when it did what it did and now an asymmetric power dynamic is leading to their destruction. That has a lot of the same characteristics as how the Russian/Ukrainian conflict started and why it continues. I am devastated by the 400 thousand or more dead now in Gaza. But somehow, for some reason that I can only conclude is, “Well they’re Russian, it’s how they do it.” excuses it as merely war and not “war crimes” True Gaza is a concentration camp and Russia is not. True that Russia is in the fight and not merely “resisting.” which is all the Gaza can do anymore. But Jesus H. 1 MILLION!

  • Boxer can’t catch a break. I really loved this movie. I’m gonna have to sit on my thoughts with it for a while. It definitely sparked some joy and sorrow, and I have questions about other’s interpretations. But, it struck one cord for me in particular that has been weighing heavily on me as I continue to seek revolution at home. People fundamentally suck. No matter what one might do to try to help them they’ll kick you into the dirt and dumb your body in a shallow grave. It’s is supremely ironic to me that America managed to convince it’s working class, people for whom their job is often their entire identity, that a party literally “for the people, by the people.” is their worst enemy.
