1·4 hours agoI live in the south east now and its about the same cost as when I lived in the south west. The south east covers quite a wide area. Moved from Wiltshire to Hampshire.

1·6 hours agoYou can let others use your hardware and in return get higher priority to use others. Want to generate 20 images? Its quicker spread across several other peoples GPUs at the same time with the same prompt.
Not poked AI stuff in a while though, it was interesting from a technical perspective but overall not super useful to me.
Shockwaves can go through solid objects without destroying them and still harming people on the other side. I would want more clarity on the indestructibility of the hut.

3·8 hours agoSort of, but I find in reality they usually look down on the working class and will vote against them.

2·9 hours agoThen wtf is the point of moving to London? I know someone obsessed with it and yet they never seem to find jobs that pay much more than everyone else is on. +£150 a month pay, -£600 car, fuel, maintenance? Lol ok.

13·13 hours agoThat is almost 3x my mortgage on the south coast.
London may have more jobs but I don’t know if they will pay 3x as much.

1·16 hours agoBut we do own RAM, do they plan to buy all of it indefinitely? All sorts of other businesses still need computers so they will be buying them even if they cost more, and when they replace them the old ones can be sold off.
There is even the possibility of crowd sourced AI, I know AI horde exists although I think its pretty small and I haven’t touched it in a few years now.

3·17 hours agoIn the UK the middle class also largely seem to not want to help the working class. I have seen them complain about things which help the working class as it brings them closer to the middle class and they don’t like it. Things like a livable minimum wage.
That works on things that run away. It could just eat you if it can beat you in a sprint.
Do I get to choose the food and can I use it towards the production of improvised weapons, including chemical and bio weapons? Can I stay in the hut and throw things outside the hut?
If yes, sure.
Alternatively: is the t-rex provided food during this time?

3·18 hours agoThey have but the other components don’t cost much in comparison. You are pretty much buying memory and it happens to have a completed system attached.
Pi zero is still pretty cheap though. 512MB of memory should help keep that affordable.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do we really want Lemmy's userbase to grow and assimilate "normies"?
4·1 day agoMore niche interests, less politics. A niche community could move to Lemmy instead of hosting their own forum for example. Either hosting their own instance or using an existing one.

4·1 day agoStill got a 16GB i7-4790k system in the loft. No PSU as moved that when upgrading. I expect motherboards are a bit difficult to get hold of for DDR3 systems now.

Based. At least you bothered to turn up.
