Currently I still find it too much of a hastle to correctly run Winblows applications, almost always relying on Lutris, Steams proton or Bottles to do the work for me.
That’s…uhhh… that’s why they were made? So that your average Joe Schmoe, like myself and you, doesn’t have to muddle through trying to get wine set exactly right so that the windows program functions. It sounds like you’re complaining about the solution to the problem.
I guess there could be work done to just make it so if you double click on a .exe install file in just boots whatever has the best install preset, or give you a pop up with options for lutris/proton/bottles.
Fair enough, it’s important to know what your potential speed bumps are.
Glad to hear that things are going good for you. On the whole, life’s pretty good for me too.
The slippery slope is when a game addiction turns into a gambling addiction.
Glad to hear your dad’s clean. Hope everything is good for you ❤️
Hey, could’ve been worse. At least she was addicted to Tetris, not a raging alcoholic or addicted to meth or something.
See…was the other way round for me. My mum had a crippling Tetris addiction when I was 7. So much so that I’d get home from school and every battery in the house would be dead. That year for Christmas all I asked for was batteries.
To be clear, it was my Gameboy and my copy of Tetris…
Yeah, could be, for 2 or 3 of the instances. There was a few times I was ill for over a week though, which is definitely food poisoning.
As I replied to someone else. I’m Canadian, but have friends and family in the States. I’ve had Arby’s 5x, and it’s delish…which is why it took getting food poisoning from Arby’s all over the damn country 5 whole ass times to stop eating there.
I would love for r/synthDIY, r/AskElectronics and r/redneckengineering to move over to lemmy.
I think they would all do quite well here.
I have a trans sister with a trans wife, I keep trying to get them to move back up to Canada. They’re ok where they are right now. But how long will that last?
