I do too. One of my favorites was seeing someone playing fallout (don’t remember which one. 3?) on an era appropriate TV.
I personally enjoy this stuff a lot because I’m someone who doesn’t like to get rid of any tech. I still have all my old phones, consoles, TVs (I still frequently use a 720p plasma). I like seeing old stuff get repurposed and continuing to work.

He was an engineer, then dies in an attack by Khan’s ship, and Scotty carries his body up to the bridge for some reason. It wasn’t a huge part.

2·11 days agoI just got this error for the first time yesterday and was briefly confused. I didn’t realize that you don’t automatically get sudo privileges when you set up an admin account on every distro.
This happened to me too a few years ago, and I’m also quite a calm person, so it caught me by surprise.
It was 6 months or so after becoming a father, and my best guess is that the sleep deprivation was messing with my head. It stopped and I’ve been fine since.
I get them sometimes too. After googling it before, my best guess is precordial catch. Apparently good posture and staying hydrated can help prevent it.

When you feel like it, start looking up stuff you can do now that you couldn’t before, like customizing your desktop environment (“ricing”). It’s fun, and there are a lot of options out there.
And you don’t have to, because the GUI options are good too, but I make a point to install and update packages from the terminal. You’ll get more familiar with it that way.

“HOW ABOUT THAT WEATHER WE’RE HAVING FROM THAT THING ABOVE US CALLED THE SKY?!”
I looked it up before posting to make sure it wasn’t AI. It’s one of a series of art installations by an artist in Bucharest.

Is this real??

My fixation this morning is:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Copper_complex
Apparently there were some people making tools out of copper around the Great Lakes as far back as the Archaic Period?? (8000-1000 BC)
I have to find a good source to read about this, because I’ve never heard about it before, and that’s insane.
