If you are selfhosting then there is a plugin for Nextcloud for this. It’s called cospend.

And there is the stand alone project ihatemoney.org. They are France based and offer both a hosted server and for you to operate it yourself

Trader Joe’s is also owned by Aldi - slightly different Aldi (long story) but German Aldi nonetheless. And I think German supermarket chain Lidl is also present in parts of the US.
