You’d like this private server I found. It aims to recreate the game as it was around like 2002-2003 in north america with qol improvements like custom npcs.

I think it’s just the style of the mid to late 90’s cg that gives it that kind of sheen to it, like you said toys.

Here! I also played ro back in the day, during the beta test too! I remember when they added the advanced job classes like knight and blacksmith. I stopped playing around then because games like diablo and the ps2 took up my time.

I love this little renaissance of simple games. Card games, bullet hells, arcade staples like this, it’s nice that you don’t have to sink 200+ hours in a game anymore to appreciate something that’s finely crafted and most of all fun to play.
