111·8 months agoWhen you have the money to have a great cinematic experience at home any time you want, any movie you want, then its easy to take potshots at the theater and be oversensitive to every little transgression. I don’t go to a lot of movies but when I do it’s mostly been pretty chill, and as others have mentioned, watching in the theater can also be a positive social experience, but if you’re overly rigid about absolute silence, that can’t develop and you might as well just see it at home.
