Note to others. The quality of the links isn’t great. And there seems to be an authoritarian communist et al. bias. Cross-reference stuff, and consider biases.

That’s pretty cool and very kind of you. But I was exaggerating, though it does hit me more than it should.
But cognitively I know it’s usually not that big of a deal. Sometimes the way I communicated is an issue, or somebody interpreted it wrong, or they are having a bad day, being unreasonable, or I just straight up made a mistake. It could be so many things.
I find this article pretty useful for anyone who might struggle with this and rejection in general:

Help, I want to report an assault!

Admirable. A single down-vote, even out of 200 and I take physical damage for the next few days.

How about knighting people who actually do real good, rather than rich assholes? Oh right, the people knighting them are the fucking monarchs.

The dumbest game I’ve ever played. Escaped into it as a kid on release and got addicted. Sure the initial journey to 60 was pretty magical. It was my first mmo, and I had played WC3 a lot before.
But my god, the dunning krueger effect, the toxicity, the community. Just terrible imo. And of course the utter unfulfilling time sink.
I’ve also been quite a competitive gamer, having played a lot of cs, dota and wc3 ladder, some semi-professionally. And WoW is simply not it.
I learned how evil Blizzard is, how addicted I can get to certain games, etc. yeah, the one word that comes to mind looking back at it is “stupid”.

LOL pretty much went the same path as you. Tried some other search engines (don’t have a searxng one though). And it’s only that IRC log. So, personally couldn’t find any evidence. But also doesn’t seem that important, since the concept appears to be the most important part.

I hesitate to post both of these, because I don’t wanna get into conspiracy stuff. But both are not well known, and I hear a lot of it keeps getting deleted.
EDIT: The first one appears to be quite popular in podcasts and tabloids. So I’ll just say it’s an interesting mystery, where I have no idea what gets deleted and what doesn’t.
Many questions about the case of: Gabriela Rico Jiménez
Warning: pretty dark rabbit hole
And quite a lot of stuff pointing towards Ghislaine Maxwell having been a reddit supermod: https://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comments/r45a5n/here_is_the_evidence_that_reddit_user_maxwellhill/

Aside from all the things that are instant turn-offs…
Being hopeful.
Also seem to get drawn to BPD

Sounds very psychosis inducing.

The ability to create black holes. Just wanna fuck around and find out.

Hmm, reminds of this part of the Narcissistic Personality Inventory

I think this is an excellent question. People often forget about threats to families/friends, and only consider their own lives.
It’s of course very context-dependent and I’m sure different people have different beliefs. For example, if your friends and families are ardently against the government and would be willing to risk a lot, and you are having an impact, you might just ignore the threats.
And in a way I think if more people think like that, it’s best, as that makes blackmail to friends/family worthless.
In most other scenarios, I would give them one chance. After all there is other good that can be done in this world. However, if they show that they can’t be trusted. I’d consider that I have nothing left to lose, and go hard.
Yuuuup, I have that while doing yoga alone or trying to meditate.

If it’s gripping, and I don’t get distracted by something else more gripping, I’ll burn myself out binging everything. ADHD and OCD might play a role.
I’m not arguing against that, just drawing attention to what kind of ‘light’ they are given. It’s not like there are only two perspectives.
