Actually there is no activity at all linked to that account, which is why I ended up deleting it. So if you can remove it directly from the database it would be great. I don’t understand how it can be in this sort of limbo where I can’t use it to login nor to sign up as new user - looks like a bug, no?

Great, then I think you can count me in!
In fact, I realized I had already created an account (as ceiron) and later deleted it. The problem is that if I try to sign up, it tells me the user already exist, but if I try to log in, it tells me the user has been deleted.
Any chance you could look into that and either restore or delete my user for good? Thank you.
Thanks. A few more:
What’s your stance towards the lefty instances (ml, lemmygrad, hexbear)?
What does pub mean or stand for? Public? Pub as in the beer drinking place?
Is europe.pub affiliated with the pubeurope mastodon instance?
Thanks, a couple of questions if I may: What’s your federation/defederation policy? In what country is the server physically hosted? Are you the only moderator of the instance?

6·6 months agoRecently got a new iPhone from my company which came with a 3-month trial of Apple TV. So I’m in the middle of a tour de force of the great sci-fi shows in there:
- Severance
- Foundation
- Silo
- For All Mankind
I’ve only just finished S1 for all of them so no spoilers please!
For All Mankind is amazing. Perhaps a bit too much non-space related drama but still excellent.
Silo also got me very curious to find out what happens in S2.
I’m a big Asimov fan so I was really looking forward to Foundation. S1 was OK but not entirely sure about some of the many ways they have departed from the books.
Severance is perhaps a bit overhyped and disappointed me a bit but it’s still pretty good.

3·6 months agoThe problem I have is that I travel frequently across countries so I do need a single app that is reliable enough across Central Europe. Meteoswiss is great but doesn’t cover the neighbouring countries.

61·6 months agoRight, I’m aware of the many Fediverse alternatives and services.
What I meant to say is that I have decided to quit Facebook and not replace it because I don’t feel a need that particular type of social media - Mastodon and Lemmy cover my needs well enough.
As for YouTube, the channels I’m interested in are just not on Peertube so I opted for a privacy-oriented version of YouTube which allows me to follow my channels without a Google account, ads or recommendation algorithms.
