15·8 days agoThe actual term ‘concentration camp’ was invented by the Spanish (as campo de concentración or campo de reconcentración) in 1896 – three years before the 2nd Anglo-Boer War (1899 – 1904) started. It originated during The Cuban War of Independence (Guerra de Independencia cubana, 1895–98) was the last of three liberation wars that Cuba fought against Spain.
A rebellion had broken out in Cuba, then a Spanish colony in 1895. The rebels, outnumbered by Spanish government troops, turned to guerrilla warfare (and here another myth which says the Boer’s invented ‘guerrilla warfare’ is debunked).

1·11 days agoTo be fair they were on a freeway, at night, chasing an injured anmial on the freeway.
They had big hearts and small brains.
When i was a teen I used to think there was something wrong with me for not liking driving, now im 60 ,fuck driving.
My partner amd I managed to live car free for a few years before we moved and it was glorious.
Under 40km/hr, a small noise makes sense, over that the tyres make enough noise
You could of course keep detailed statistics about what kind of crashes and where and causes
I am sure they do
and, based off that data, redesign each intersection that has a lot of risks, making your city safer.
