For some people this week, we were being asked that a lot. I saw one person get a Vulcan salute on their palm. I saw Shannon Fill (yes, our beloved Siri Jaxa) get a fancy IDIC with some symbol for feminism. I myself got the NX-01 assignment patch.

He was a fan. I remember how excited he was when he’d heard about ENT, telling me “it is set in the time before Kirk” (insert heavy Filipino accent). I grew up wanting to watch Trek because he was. We watched every ENT episode together. As the first series I was old enough to follow long with and understand the stories, it holds a tremendous impact on my childhood.

Really? He did that? OMG. If I had seen him (not sure he was here with Denise this year) and known that, I would have shown him.

There are a sizable number of people who will dismiss anything ENT.

Everyone at the con loved it. Not a single negative comment. There was a separate space set up in the convention hall for flash art that worked for Creation (or they are a regular vendor) but I didn’t know about them. Lots got tats there. I wanted it specifically at Count’s plus this was a custom.

Circa 2009-2010 there was a desktop overlay theme for Windows XP that I think was called System47. It was super basic, a LCARS overlay that let you access basic apps and info. It included a voice command which you could open apps or perform certain functions.
