I love to see some Gleam in this project, wonderful language.

They block with DPI so DoH would not be enough.

Because stripping files metadata is an expected features for a messaging client. Not for the network like you described but for the client.

You still can push your backups to another provider, it’ll take a bit of time depending on this size but it’s perfectly doable. It’s not easy to have backups in separate locations otherwise.
