One reason I don’t think was explicitly mentioned but didn’t really need to be is the capitalist society we’re in now where everything must make more and more money so companies are rewarded for building things that all are safe and look the same to an extent, hence why the Luce sold so many units. No more are we getting stories about companies making something exciting and new to save their brand or make a statement it’s just whatever will sell and it works for that purpose.
