if it’s logging in automatically it needs the required encryption key available on the disk in clear. so the stolen hard drive will boot and unlock in any computer, no?

can you run me the numbers for 200 bots?
See, 75% of output of 2 years vs 100 years of music production. Also popularity was factored in.
do you have any numbers on the AI share? I doubt it’s more than a 2%, so I assume you are just virtue signalling on a completely unrelated topic here :-)

Of course there are features enabled by ai. But to force it down our throats, that’s the problem.

2·22 days agoIt went awesome!
CachyOS is so amazing when it comes to installing software, the huge aur, the immense speed of the installations. I don’t think the latter should be weighted too much because who cares about a few seconds at install time, but it’s still super cool. And I’m sort of entitled to say “I use arch btw” now! yay for that!
The learning curve, coming from debian/ubuntu/QubesOS mainly in the recent years was mild. Learning that pacman offers just a subset of yay etc…
I installed a few “windows only” games from my steam library, all of them worked out of the box and very smooth. Back when I installed steam 4a ago on my laptop I still had to copy some DLL manually and preload some lib to make my favorite game work. No more so.
Even thinking of going CachyOS on my laptop - but as it hardly matters which linux is running there not sure if it’s worth the effort.
Using arch now, btw!

Europe@feddit.org•[Video] German cops arrest kid at pro-Palestine demonstration and then assault elderly man for calling them outEnglish
1·22 days agoI don’t think the situation allowed for that. There was already aggression against the police there (sadly we don’t know what the kid did do, to get arrested). The police was already trying to get out of the scene to avoid confronting the people who tried to stop the police from doing so. Getting someones ID is more than just asking/receiving an answer, it’s a process that takes several minutes even in quiet situations like when the police is called to a minor traffic accident etc.

14·22 days agoYou are right to complain about fair trails, which are virtually not happening when its police vs citizen.
But the arrest is still right/correct and within reason. The police knows this, they only act after he crosses the barrier.

11·22 days agolike this was happening on a quiet street and not in an ongoing situation. I’m always in to complain about the police, but this one? Come on. He overstepped, and got taken in to identify him and possibly sue him for the “Schweine” comment. Sure they use force, but the force to me seems reasonable/in proportion.

3·1 month agoI’ll start by letting you know how it went, as this beautiful day was originally scheduled for last Tuesday…
after assembly the box didn’t start. just 0.5s of light, minor movement on the CPU fan, then dark. need to disconnect/reconnect power to repeat as power button is without function after first press.
removing basically everything but ram/CPU did not help, so taking out the CPU;

don’t believe that normally only most pads are gold covered 😭
and I had cachyOS already on my USB… new hardware is scheduled for tomorrow.
sorry to abuse your request to whine about that :D
