10 days agoI bought an old cheap Thinkpad 8GB RAM 256GB SSD on ebay.
Changed out the battery and put Linux Mint on it. Total costs, including new battery was around $130. I love this thing! Now it’s my everyday driver.

I rehab old machines, use open software, read forgotten books, and incorporate discarded ideas to build things that work for my everyday life. Our future will not arrive complete. Sometimes we gotta salvage the parts and patch it together ourselves.
