Either way, he is a Master Sargent in the US Marine Corp. He took an oath to defend the Constitution and not a single person or party. His power is bestowed by the people he is sworn to serve. If he is wearing that uniform with honor, that uniform is most definitely anti-fascist.

We have to remember that these podcasts are just two people in a conversation. It’s not a well-researched news piece. People in a conversation get stuff wrong all the time. They misrepresent themselves, they get facts wrong, they tell half truths, etc. I’m not letting anyone off the hook, we just have to remember that this entertainment just sounds like a long format 60 Minutes interview.

The problem is the hungry 24-hour news cycle picks up whatever these public figures say on these shows and elevates it to newsworthy. Theo is complicit by giving the wrong people a platform to shotgun their half truths and wrong facts out into the news cycle. If you’re not going to push on a political topic, don’t bring it up. Don’t give your wrong-hearted guest a chance. Stick with what you know and are ready to have a conversation about. It makes for a much better podcast.
