I feel this one. Used to daily drive Linux but due to a work requirement had to switch to Windows several years back. Windows has been getting shittier and shittier and I no longer need to use Windows for work and it only just gets shittier so I just switched to CachyOS and love it. Except the one and only issue I haven’t been able to fix is audio. I use a Bluetooth speaker on my computer and it cuts out randomly even using low bit rate audio streams. Tried switching pulseaudio to pipewire because the internet said I could increase the latency and that that would fix it but no dice.

Definitely second this recommendation, especially if they have otherwise been supportive of your transition. We had a member of our discord server who was openly trans relatively early on and had a very strict anti-bigotry policy and of course we’re very accepting the lgbtq+ community. Because of this, we have a good chunk of regular members who come out relatively early during their transition. Because of this, particularly when playing fast paced games with them, I accidentally misgender them because their voice hasn’t really changed yet to match their gender. I always tell them from the get-go and remind them from time to time that anytime I do so to please correct me and politely scold me because it’s not something I do intentionally. It’s just stupid monkey brain and that hopefully by correcting me I’ll be able to reprogram monkey brain.

I will say as someone who lives in a cold climate, but that typically likes cooler warm air. It would be nice to sometimes be able to set how cold the air is coming out of the vents and not the temperature I want the cabin to be. But other than that, yeah I think my Honda Civic handles this pretty well as well
