we had a similar thing with Kingdom Hearts. my childminder didnt have a memory card for the ps2, so our whole experience of the game for months was the destiny islands, the tutorial. we loved it. theres no videogame place im more attached to. and when we finally got a memory card, and had to het my childminder to beat the introductory boss, the whole game opened up. amazing.

8·1 天前ithink itd be better news if they publiclu released the info, rather than reviewing it. police review just means the same people who presided over her death the first time get another chance to cover for themselves

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do you have any work of art (writing, visual, film, video game, etc) that you think is *accidentally* a masterpiece? e.g. a work with a lot of unintended powerful meaning?English
1·1 天前I’ve thought for a xouple of minutes, and my best idea is Minecraft. not that they accidentally made it fun, but i think they set out to make a survival game with crafting, and accidentally made a sandbox for creations of boundless imagination.
interesting analogy. do you suspect that reddit, wikipedia etc. will soon become paywalled? or will private ownership of reddit, fandom etc. gate them to the populace in other ways?

1·9 天前to be clear, i don’t think it’s necessarily a problem for everyone in the city, i guess i was exaggerating. but for the people who live right next to a stadium thoroughfare, or right outside a venue, i imagine it can be denilitating. any idea if that was the case in 2012, one way or the other?

I’m glad you had a nice time. i wasn’t there, so i can’t speak on the conversations you had. i do think that the US government wouldn’t pay for people to go abroad if it wasn’t getting something out of the deal, but maybe you stuck it to the man and weakened the US empire’s grip
