This user posts exclusively pro-Chinese and anti-European content in very high frequency.

I posted this in another thread, but it also fits here:

Their intention is to eventually destroy the community by using it as a dumping ground for Chinese (and Russian) propaganda.

It goes hand in hand with a range of other accounts engaging in second-hand intimidation (and even death threats to some users) against anyone with a different opinion, engage in whataboutism, false equivalence (“Russia’s invasion is bad, but the Ukraine war is only a proxy war against the West”) and some historical fan fiction (“The Soviet Union was a dream to live in before the CIA destroyed it”).

We have been seeing this also on Reddit. Many subreddits fall to very questionable ideologies that leave no room for discussion, which kills any vivid community (or prevents it from growing). In the tankies’ own communities (where everyone gets banned who is only slightly criticizing China or Russia), as you may know, they are not only supporting autocratic genocidal policies, but are literally cheering the violence, as one study says:

… The presence of left-wing extremism on the Lemmygrad. ml instance of the decentralized social media platform Lemmy, from its launch in 2019 up to a month after the bans of the subreddits r/GenZedong and r/GenZhou … reveal a substantial increase in user activity and toxicity levels following the migration of these subreddits to Lemmygrad. ml. …

[Users] frequently share posts that support authoritarian regimes, as seen in their support for China, North Korea, and Russia. Moreover, their support can extend beyond backing these authoritarian regimes, even cheering on their violent actions, as evidenced by their posts on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Additionally, we observe anti-Zionist and antisemitic behaviors, which show similarities to right-wing extremism … Our analysis suggests a concerning endorsement of authoritarian actions and extremist rhetoric on Lemmygrad. ml, further indicating that left-wing extremist communities on decentralized platforms should receive more attention from the academic community.

What is deeply concerning is that there are also many admins and mods here in the Lemmyverse that support this exremely radicalized community. Such users should get banned imo. This has nothing to do with freedom of opinion.

They have a comment to post ratio of 1.5%

On average (!), they made 14 posts per day since signing up.

Someone is very determined to get their point across…
