Contrary to the propaganda spread by the elite to justify their rule, people are actually pretty decent, and they start to cooperate more closely during crises.
This is certainly countered by the tribalism that the right wing is so eagerly fueling… yet a few million to a few billion people will surely manage to adapt and survive.
But yeah, it’s quite possible that you and I won’t be among them.
Still, in my opinion, it gives me hope that after the crisis, a system will emerge that is better and more just than the one we have today… a goal worth fighting for.
