By my standards, it isn’t Science unless it matches the Venn-diagram intersection of:

• Objectivity: UNIVERSE-centric, NOT ego/institution/establishment/tradition/assumptions centric
• Correct-Reasoning, no matter how automatic shorthand “reasoning” is, especially if it’s convenient to any habit/ideology/prejudice/establishment
• Worldview-Adapting/Evolution, as evidence falsifies one’s habitual-view.

Lose ANY of those, & it isn’t Science, no matter if it “identifies as” Science.

Scientism isn’t Science.

& neither is “alternative facts” “Science”.

( mind you, Academia’s incapable of letting-go of its prejudices…

just ask Sabine Hossenfelder how her being fired for not being a man, & therefore not being a “real” scientist felt…

Scientism has many dimensions of violating Science, evidence shows. )
