    Not surprised. I hear this song almost every day. The kids I work with adore it; when we do “dance parties” it’s always the first song that plays. When a toy has a recording option, it’s this song that gets recorded onto it. It’s been everywhere since this movie came out, and it’s catchy enough to get stuck in my head even though all I really know the lines of is its chorus.

    I’m happy for them, but I still think Sinners had the better song. 🤷

    Kind of like when La La Land got nominated and the best song wasn’t even the best song in that film.

      I also really liked the music in Sinners, since it’s a very musical movie, but I can’t deny the immense cultural impact of K-Pop Demon Hunters. It makes sense that it won, even if it’s not my preferred kind of music.

      I agree, I was rooting for sinners. I thought the slow build up incorporating other genres was well done and powerful in its portrayal in the movie.
