I love owning glass, and I hate seeing it dirty. I’m lucky to be a person for whom cleaning stuff is almost fun, because there’s something about working to get that last crumb of resin out of the perc that’s very satisfying. Then I have a display cabinet for all of the clean glass to be admired.
My partner doesn’t care, and would probably use the same dirty glass forever as long as it still had airflow. It hurts to watch them grab a clean bong from the cabinet just to dirty it up again, but then they always compliment how nice the glass looks and how cleanly it hits, and I know my work is appreciated.

Cleaning weed gear is easier when you do it regularly. I have several pieces that get cleaned daily, some multiple times a day depending on how hard they’re being used. It makes a huge difference!
unsung cleaning heros
I am like you and cannot stand a dirty glass piece. I evaluate each new purchase in part based on how hard it will be to clean.
But at first I didn’t notice the community, and all the sparkly glass arty pieces around the house are cleaned by my wife.
