I like cooking, but what really pleases me the most from everything i do is making my baguettes, when they are hot right after i take them out of the oven whatever sandwich i make with them i seems like the best meal ever

The 5 Minute Baguette is a complete game changer.

Big bowl, 4g salt, then 240g flour, then 1g yeast, then 200g water; Mix it together with a spoon or whatever; cover and leave it 12h. Preheat to 480ºF and bake for 20 minutes.

I bake mine on a lightly-oiled baking sheet because the first time I didn’t have parchment paper and tried wax paper instead (with hilarious consequences).

Yes there are two secrets here, you have to let the yeast react with the flour for a couple of hours after you mix them, it has to grow double in size for sure and then in the oven put somewhere some water inside, the steam from the water will make them crispy on the outside

I don’t like 5 minute recipes. Giving the dough time is what is fun to me. And it tastes better. 5 minute baguette probably tastes heavily of yeast.
