This is gonna go great. Presented with the majority of the employees wanting a thing, they fail to even respond. Could have built a LOT of good will by being chill about this, but chose to start in a combative stance.

No, wait till a big expansion is about to come out, have them announce a release date, then strike! Make wotc explain to their fans, who are known for being reasonable and not obsessed 😜, why their magic expansion is delayed. Even better if the employees can time it so affects a large convention or tournament.

Computer game devs should do the same. Have a game 90% complete, execs release a trailer with the release date, now its crunch time you need to work 60-80 hour weeks fixing all the bugs and doing all the polish before being let go shortly after the game release. Nope, fuck that! Strike just after the trailer drops. The game will either be indefinitely delayed, released unpolished and with tons of bugs resulting in bad reviews and poor sales, or they will need to hire scabs who will need to learn the code base, likely cost more, likely not be as talented.

People in general are selfish. Make the public suffer and make them aware it’s because the execs treat you like shit. The public may not care too much about you since they don’t know you but they want their game, cards, whatever and now you being treated like shit affects them so now they care.
