    I need a new TV; I want an OLED. But I have no interest in replacing it in a year because the software died.

    Any tips for the least bloated piece of shit TV? It won’t be allowed on the Internet, but sure would be convenient if it worked with Jellyfin.

      I picked up a Sony OLED with Google TV a few months ago and it’s been really good so far. The OS itself works really nicely even when offline and since it’s android you can switch out the launcher to something without ads if you ever do connect it.

      When I I was shopping around I was surprised to find that Google seems to have the least invasive of the TV OSs. It’s more a statement of how bad the other ones are than how good theirs is though.
