I’ve been kicking this can down the road for years, but I finally got a job that involves cutting so much melamine board there’s no way I’m doing it with a circular saw.

I watched multiple safety videos before even opening the package, and now I’m just sitting here staring at it wondering whether I should fire it up and cut off a finger or two. I’m fucking terrified of this thing.

    Funny enough they are standard issue since the 60ies in Central Europe and dadoing is basically a no-go for professionals and semi-pros due to insurance/workers comp reason

        Mhm, I don’t feel particularly save on either of them, but construction wise the router tabel is far far less prone to kickback, so there is that.

        BTW: Altendorf also has a system it seems. And that actually can be installed after buying.Costs around 6000€ without the technican to install it. And of course it’s only available for their 12k +x range. Holy moly. .
