It happened once before but went away I think when I restarted but now it’s full time and persistent across restarts. I guess I’m going to have to use gboard which I don’t prefer.

Does anyone else know about this that has an answer other than it’s TalkBack. Because it’s not.

    In regular Android, there is a setting under “Sound & vibration” called “Dial pad tones”. Do you have anything similar?

    Edit: Or maybe they broke “TalkBack” in a recent update??

      It isn’t doing the behavior with gboard.

      On the Galaxy there is no “Dial pad tones,” but there is a system sound that has a toggle for Samsung keyboard.

      It is turned off.

        Welp. That was my only guess. Only other thoughts I have involve “force stop” the keyboard app and/or “clear cache/data”.
