      That’s it. Just for that, I propose we rename the rest of the periodic table to match aluminum.

      The third element is Lithum. Beryllum is the alkali earth element with four protons. Sodum combined with chlorine to make table salt. Mangesum is a highly abundant metal usable for structural applications. Potassum is found in bananas. Calcum is required for bone health…

          That’s literally the answer though. They used electricity to process aluminum in a new way and much much much more cheaply than was possible before.

      It is also cheaper to buy and run a CNC on Aluminium than on Iron/Steel, so for all those non-load-bearing applications…
