I stopped listening to The News Agents a while ago because of this exact thing. There’s so much outrage about any attacks on Jewish people in the UK and by Hamas with them being only talked about as being completely evil but it’s when talking about Israel suddenly nuance is allowed back in. No mention of genocide, no mention of islamaphobia, lots of immediate challenge to Polanski but never any mention of Farage or Reform saying stuff that’s 10 times worse.

I always hated that they are really the typical Westminster journalist inside type who try to break stories early and come up with so many discussions about what might happen but only before an event so complete guesses with no real facts.

I listened to the interview when the shortened version was broadcast as part of Goodall’s show. I didn’t hear him say that. Incredibly disappointing if Goodall said it as blatantly as that. What I heard was Goodall repeatedly pushing Piker about comparisons with the Holocaust (which Piker answered well I thought) only for Goodall to ignore Piker’s answer and repeat the question again and again with mock outrage.

Can anyone post the link to the video as it doesn’t seem to be working?

EDIT: After watching the clip it’s important to point out that the title of this post/thread is misleading and Goodall doesn’t say this at all. He makes the point of drawing an equivalence between the killings of Israelis and Palestinians. To make it clear: I support Piker’s argument and thought he was excellent. It’s just important not to misrepresent Goodall.

Imgur blocks itself from the UK, so Brits like me can’t see the video.

I assume the reason for Imgur blocking itself is the relatively recent law saying that websites have to verify people’s ages as being above 18 in order for such people to view adult content. I guess Imgur didn’t want to implement age verification for British users, so they decided to make all their content unavailable to UK visitors.

Edit: okay never mind I just used a VPN to watch the video, and I guess other Brits can do the same.

The title is completely different from what the clip (or the entire interview) captures. I guess we truly are reddit now.
