House Republicans narrowly passed the roughly $70 billion ICE and Border Patrol funding package after a dramatic floor fight that briefly left the vote tied at 213-213.

Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI) ultimately switched to yes, providing the deciding vote and allowing the measure to advance.

The bill would fund immigration enforcement operations through the remainder of President Trump’s term. The next step is Senate consideration. If the Senate approves the measure, it heads to President Trump’s desk for his signature. If senators make changes, it will have to return to the House for another vote.

Abstained:

  • Kristen McDonald Rivet - D Michigan
  • Thomas Kean Jr - R NJ
  • Nancy Mace - R SC
  • Ralph Norman - R SC
