He’s suffering from success
You gotta have a legitimate British theater actor in your space wizard movie to sprinkle in a touch of authenticity.
Last line hits hard though.
Yes, but let’s be honest…
If not for Star Wars his legacy would much more prominently feature brown face that has not aged nearly as well.

Obi-have

God damnit. This is so much funnier than it deserves to be. I’m giggling angrily even now, and I suspect I’ll think about this again before bedtime.
Yeah, but he negotiated a percentage of the box office when nobody else believed in it.
The worst part of this is that Wookiepedia doesn’t exist anymore. Fandom.com fucking ate it.
Now that is upsetting. I remember it being such a good resource as a star wars obsessed early teen
He seems a lot more positive about it in this interview.
Seeing Obi-Wan in a suit is weird as hell
And got in a tug of war with Gary Oldman over who people think of when they say “George Smiley”
For some reason I pictured Gary Coleman and this post is now hilarious to me
I haven’t seen Guinness as Smiley, but I recently watched The Spy Who Came in from the Cold with Richard Burton as Leames (and apparently a guy called Rupert Davies as Smiley), and holy moly was it boring. Dreadful.
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (with Oldman) was slow af, but I at least found it watchable.
I thought the BBC tinker tailor and Smiley’s People was really good, understated performances. But I’d read the books a few times so caught a lot of the cues.
…Ewoks ate each other? That’s pretty metal, honestly
Unironically I will always remember Alec in Tinker Tailor before Star Wars.
From a certain point of view.
sing it with me folks Donald! Has only got one ball!
