Actually struggling with the heat for the first time in my life last night. Completely knocked my out all of a sudden and I just wanted to sleep. Woke up soaked and feeling like I had an epic party last night and drank too much. But I don’t drink. Two more days before it ends.

I’ve broht B&R to some folks, and they’ve read it and agreed. There’s a little victory.

When I talk to people (other USians), it seems they care less about the government of their own country, and more about the industries within their country. Such as surveillance, AI, and social media. They don’t care about what the United States used to be because they don’t see it ever coming back soon.

I also have severe social anxiety, and am more bookish than talkative. In this case, I have read lots of theory but struggle to get out and talk to people.

The ‘One Big Beautiful Bill Act’ (OBBBA), also known as H.R.1 or the Budget Reconciliation Act of 2025, was signed by President Donald Trump on July 4, 2025. This federal budget legislation introduces sweeping changes to the U.S. health coverage landscape. The law implements cuts of approximately $1 trillion in federal health spending over a decade, marking the largest legislative rollback in health coverage history. Dr. Benjamin Sommers from Harvard compares the projected uninsured rate to pre-ACA levels in 2010, or potentially worse.

Starting January 2027, new work requirements will be enforced, representing the most significant component of the cuts, reducing federal funding by $325.8 billion over ten years. Medicaid beneficiaries must work, volunteer, or study for at least 80 hours a month to maintain coverage, with periodic documentation required. Exemptions apply to caregivers, students, and those with disabilities. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates 4.8 million people will lose coverage due to these requirements, primarily due to procedural issues and frequent paperwork.

I live in a parody of a country.

Critical British press coverage of German veteran reunions even drew condemnation from Bonn. On July 30, 1951 the conservative Daily Telegraph reported that at a recent reunion in Düsseldorf by former paratroopers, headed by General Ramcke, the general had demanded the “immediate cessation and removal of slanders and discrimination against those who risked their lives for their country,” as well as the release of “so-called German war criminals.”

More controversially, according to the Telegraph, Ramcke added, “Whether we want to or not, we shall not be able to avoid taking up arms for the defence of our living space (Lebensraum) against enemy hordes.”³⁴ The West German newspaper Mittag condemned British reporting on this speech, describing the reunions as “harmless and understandable demonstrations.” The Telegraph unapologetically suggested, “So far as can be ascertained here, the General’s reference to ‘Lebensraum’ was suppressed by the entire German Press.”³⁵

Social media truly was a mistake. Every single post about the weather sparks insane discussions. Government takes precautions because certain groups of people struggle with this weather, people who are not within these groups feel the need to say how stupid this all is and how they think everyone is whining and how Spain and France are also warm and they don’t complain (except they do lol, they are taking precautions too).

It is 43 degrees my guys please just behave and try to make it through the day. YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE AN OPINION ON EVERY SINGLE THING.

The decline of violence in discussions of the North Africa campaign, as well as the presence of North Africans themselves over the course of the 1950s, occurred alongside a greater emphasis on the German colonial empire of decades past.

Articles, stories, and narratives in Die Oase drew increasing connections between Afrika Korps veterans’ experiences of the Second World War in North Africa and those of earlier colonial soldiers elsewhere on the continent, particularly German Southwest Africa.

The increasing prominence of explicitly colonial experiences, particularly in what is now Namibia, operated in several interconnected ways. On the one hand, colonial narratives normalize the extraordinarily brutal and demoralizing combat waged in North Africa during the Second World War, subsuming the experience instead into a type of post-colonial nostalgia,²²⁵ and white, European, colonial solidarity.²²⁶

On the other, they obfuscated the murderous violence of German colonial warfare, which involved mass murder in both Southwest and Southeast Africa.²²⁷ The violence in these narratives, as it appeared, served to discursively unite the new European allies over a shared British and German colonial past.

So an albertan incel went to Quebec and shot a Chabad rabbi. Now the right wing Canadian media is claiming he was a Communist because he cited Marx in his manifesto. The entire screed is about how capitalism is bad and that is why he can’t find a woman (to be his property) and so he is going to go try to be Luigi or maybe just shoot a prominent zionist.

Half baked class consciousness will kill ya.
