    This lady really does not care about any economic consequences, she’s here to jumpstart Imperial Japan come hell or high water. Soon enough they might even bring back the flag and declare the Emperor has reclaimed his divinity.

      I don’t like her (to put it nicely), but I don’t think she’s that daft. It’s basically meaningless stuff that’s pandering to certain portions of the LDP base.

      I doubt it with the flag (though tons of people fly the naval ensign today already, not just far right folks and nothing legally forbids doing so AFAIK) since this would have consequences with some of the biggest trade partners when the economy is already in trouble.

      Edit: to be clear, I think this is a really dumb idea and don’t agree with it.
