Sadly, the same thing happens if one is not focused. You Hear the words, but you don’t Listen to them.
Yeah, I know from experience. I have ADHD with major distractibility.
Lucky for me, though, audiobooks and podcasts help me focus. Both on them and on whatever else I’m doing.
It’s one of the best tools in my ADHD toolbox 😁
