    I would love to see data from the previous Iran war(s) and compare the stats to this one.

    I think Vietnam was by far. In fact I think post WWII it became the most unpopular due to the horrors.

      polling from June shows that the Iran War has now sunk to negative 32% net support — below the negative 31% recorded in the final poll during Vietnam.

      I can believe it, honestly. The Vietnam war had a clearer justification (not a good or valid one, but a clear one), the pre-existing public perception of communism, and a much less unpopular president (or several of them, but all much less unpopular). America also got out before it failed completely; when the North won, America had signed the Paris peace treaty two years prior. For this one, the proof of its pointlessness has happened before it has ended

        Do the US have demonstrations against the war? For Vietnam that happened, albeit later than the 100 days we’re at with Iran.

          Yes. I don’t know enough (about either these ones or the Vietnam ones) to say how they compare in scale, but they have definitely been happening. There was a particular rush of them in April when Trump starting saying all that “a civilisation will die” shit
